LAURA BOND BURIAL IN GIBSON CEMETERY Mrs. Laura Bond, 60, died at 6:40, February 15, 1963, in the Hamilton Memorial Hospital at McLeansboro, where she had been a patient for a day. Mrs. Bond was a former Bison resident, moving to McLeansboro in 1949. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Merle Melton officiating. The body was brought to the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City where services were held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial was in Gibson Cemetery. Mrs. Bond was born in Gibson City, June 13, 1902, the daughter of Jens and Rasmine Nelson. She was married to Carl C. Bond son of John E. and Edith Davis Bond. He died in April 1959. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Katie Davis and Mrs. Mary Svedlund of Gibson City. Preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers, she was a member of the Christian Church of McLeansboro. |
