GOLDIE P. BOND

        Goldie P. Bond, 93, of Paxton died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday (March 26, 1996) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Doug Bradley will officiate.  Burial will be at Glen Cemetery, Paxton.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

        Mrs. Bond was born May 6, 1902, at Aden, a daughter of Harrison and Mary Simpson Crisel  She married Tom Covington in 1922, at Fresno, Calif.  She then married Car Bond at Aden, in 1928.

        Survivors include one son, Thomas J. Covington of Carlock; one daughter, Delores Vaughn of Paxton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, and two brothers.      

        Mrs. Bond was a doll collector who loved crafts and gardening.  She had lived in Paxton since 1940.  She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Paxton.

        Memorial contributions may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church or to an organization of the donor's choice.
