Mrs. America Lane residing in the southeast part of
the city, died Sunday morning, aged 44 years. The remains were
interred Monday at Crouch Cemetery, near Belle City.
Additional Information: America was born July 4, 1873 in Twigg Township, Hamilton Co., IL, the daughter of Nathan Benjamin and Mahals Caterine (Trobaugh?) Essary. She died October 21, 1917 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., IL (Death Cert. #0014757). She married April 28, 1897 in Dale, Hamilton Co., IL, Thomas Casey Lane, son of Moses and Minerva (McMillan) Lane. She and her husband are buried in Crouch Cemetery in unmarked graves. |
