Most of the information in this family record comes from Journals of John Henry Standiford      Note: Mentions baptized in Kansas. Records of John Henry Standiford are on 8 LDS microfiche starting with number 6048806. He was an early day Mormon in Utah and Arizona. In his journal which he kept for years, he described his conversion to Mormonism, his every day life and struggles against the US Army. After Utah became a state, he moved one of his two families to Arizona since it was illegal to have two families in the same state. Arizona was a territory at the time. His records are stored at Brigham Young University. His descendants have submitted voluminous genealogical records to the church at Salt Lake City.
