CALIFORNIA COURT TO FIX VALUE OF A PINT OF BLOOD
_______________________________________

San Francisco, August 31.--The question of the value of a pint of blood is scheduled for settlement in San Francisco courts, sometime in November.

At that time the suit of Leona Pearl Standiford against the estate of Mrs. C. P. Hillard (both of San Francisco) will go to trail.

Miss Standiford says a pint of blood--or a pint of her blood at least--is worth $2,500.  She quotes the heirs to the Hilliard estate as valuing it at only $15.00.

Miss Standiford set forth in her complaint that she gave a pint of her blood in a transfusion operation in an attempt to save the life of Mrs. Hillard.  An infection, she alleges, followed the operation and she must have money for medical treatment.
